Crеаting Brand Quality Content
When creating content (blog posts, infographics, webinars, etc.) you want to create content that your audience will love, but more importantly you want to make content that aligns with your brand. Simply put “Be You!”.
Let’s think about this. Imagine if Wal-Mart rolls out a piece of content that says “We offer the finest foods”, we would all laugh at this because we all know that Wal-Mart doesn’t do that. Now imagine if your brand/company comes out and says it does something that it doesn’t. You would then be attracting an audience that you ultimately can’t service.
Be true to you and your audience will come!
Distribution of Cоntеnt
Now there are a million ways to get content out. You have to find what works for you. Now I know that sounds like a really easy answer to avoid any backlash on specific suggestions, but it’s true!
For me, using social media is the only way I get people to see me, and usually only through Facebook and Twitter! For others, this might be through other social media platforms, YouTube if you use video, SoundCloud if you use audio. The list literally goes on for days, but the key is to use what works for you.
I don’t think enough people say it, but reuse your content, Publish a blog post from 6 months ago again. Your audience is always changing and you need to keep showing them what they want to see.
The last thing is to analyze or review the data. You have to know how your content is doing. You need to know what platforms are driving traffic and if your audience even likes your content. Watch the data and make appropriate changes. If Facebook isn’t where the actions at, don’t force it.
Content marketing can be slow and can take time before you even see results. Create a calendar of when you will post, create, and review to assure that you are honest in your efforts.
