I just finished reading (listening) to Gary Vee’s book “Crushing It”. I finished it in about 2 days and re-listened to it about 2 days later. The book is amazing and everyone in business or thinking about business should read it.
The biggest take away I took from it were:
Get you goals straight. Do you really want to be a millionaire? Or do you want to just live comfortably and play Candy Crush all day?
Most people talk a big game or say they want more than they are actually willing to work for. I like the fact he calls this out. It was a wake up call for me. I want a castle one day, but my actions weren’t showing that, so I’ve had to make some changes for my actions to align with my goals.
2. Produce content, even if you’re a nobody.
The biggest regret Gary had was not documenting when he was a nobody and putting in 14 hour days. Now while I don’t want to film me on the computer all day, I am going to start making a weekly video about me talking about what I’ve done and achieved in the week. I think this is a great way to start getting content that you can then spread to other channels.
All in all I think this book is a great way to get motivated and get you back on track. If you are lost and need direction this book is for you.
